“Karate helps build your life,
it doesn’t have to be your life”
Partnerships

Puyallup Recreation Center
Tahoma Karate is very proud of their deep partnership with the Puyallup Rec Center. Without the Puyallup Rec Center and the people there, Tahoma Karate would not exist. We believe that the Community Outreach that is achieved with the Puyallup Recreation Center is extremely important and is something that we will never compromise on.

Shoreline Karate Club
Shoreline Karate Club is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and advancement of traditional Karate and Kobudo practice on the northside of King County, Washington. They operate through the volunteer efforts of our senior students, who serve as board directors, instructors, student mentors, and technical advisers.
As Kyle Gough Sensei’s parents both teach at Shoreline Karate Club (and his father runs the club), there is naturally a strong connection between Tahoma Karate and Shoreline Karate Club. This relationship is mostly unseen and comes in the form of an exchange of ideas (especially when it comes to testing requirements and what we are teaching our students), but on occasion we will do an instructor exchange where an instructor from Shoreline Karate Club comes to teach at Tahoma Karate and Kyle goes and teaches at Shoreline Karate Club. Kyle is also an active member of the Shoreline Karate Club’s Technical Commity.
